Paul Yung Architect is small boutique architectural firm located in San Diego specializing customer home design, small size commercial projects including TI, land development, interior design, and structural design for wood framing up to 3 story.
Most of PYA clients are typical home owner who don’t have any knowledge regarding construction and confused with city permit process and complicated local zoning ordinances. PYA bring solution and advices to clients and so they will be fully informed and understand.
PYA was founded by Paul Yung, Master of Architecture from University of Houston and licensed architect in State of California.
Before founding the firm, Paul Yung, after graduated with Master degree in Architecture from University Of Houston and a few years working in Texas, Paul Yung came to San Diego and start to work for a prestigious firm in San Diego specializing larger commercial projects throughout to California and China. He has involved as project manager and project architect for over 2 millions square feet projects. Many projects are landmarks in San Diego such as Ruth Chris Stake House in Torrey Pines. Some of his project has been awarded by local AIA charter, such as Torrey Reserve West, a 150,00 square fee commercial development.
He started his own architecture practice since 2010 and devote his a lot of time to small size residential project for typical home owner to make expensive architecture service affordable. He also provide his deep knowledges of local land development code to help developer to land design, he is familiar with Coastal Development Permit, Site Development Permit process.
Paul Yung Also served in Kenery Mesa Planning Group and also part of sub committee of Kearney Mesa Plan Update.
PYA also provides a very light commercials design such as restaurants, commercial TI, interior design in commercial and residential.
Unlike other architectural firm, PYA has own capacity to provide structural design for woof framing design.
