2 Story addition is always challenge because structural issue. How to utilize the existing foundation as much as possible is key to reduce the cost. with in-house structural design capability is very helpful in the beginning of architectural design.
Over 1000 SF second story addition over the existing first floor. TJI floor provides larger span for first floor. We also raised first floor below addition from 8′ height to 9′ height.
Project has been submitted to the City of San Diego for building permit.
